Valley View Bank will be having three blood drives with the American Red Cross this year. The first one was on Friday, February 8, 2008. We passed our goal and received 27 units of blood! We thank everyone that participated. The other two are scheduled for May 16 and August 29. The donor bus will be at the Main Bank from 10-2 pm on both scheduled dates.
All presenting donors will receive an American Red Cross item for their support.
Some of the basic things in life are free, but could make more of a difference than you could ever imagine. A single blood donation can save up to three lives!
A person can donate 5-6 time a year. However, most people only donate about 1.4 times a year. Starting this year, Valley View Bank will be having 3 annual blood drives. We want to set a goal of 25 pints each time. Help Valley View make each drive a success by donating and telling others we are having the drive.

Valley View Bank recently donated $2,000.00 to Ronald McDonald House Charities. This was a matching donation from the Tons of Tabs community collection program in which Valley View Bank sponsors 34 local schools in their effort to teach students the importance of helping others. The 34 sponsored schools collected 2,667 pounds of pop tabs during the 2006-2007 school year. As a side note it takes 1,267 pop tabs to equal one pound.
